ANTIQUE COPY LATHE

This is the antique copy lathe that Mountainside Craft purchased in Wisconsin. It will be used to make our hiking/walking sticks.

Part of the Metro Parks, the Warner Park Nature Center in Nashville, TN offers a wide range of enviromental education programs, school field trips, educator training workshops, outdoor recreation programs and other special activities for people of all ages!! JULY 4th PARTY

Our 3rd Annual July 4th Party was held on July 3rd this year. Whitney, Emily, James and Elizabeth made us a banner to hang from the deck!

The kids played on the water slide all day!!

Lots of FOOD!! Everyone brought food and Josh grilled Steaks!!!

About 100 friends and family members came and we ate and played all day!!

THE "AFTER THE WEDDING" PARTY

With live band and BYOB included on the invitations, the goal of this wedding is that everyone has a good time...and that we did!! Whitney kicked off her shoes and we all had a wonderful time!!

WEDDING DAY!!

JUNE 12,2010 Wedding Day! It was the most perfect day! It was a "No Stress Day" Everything came together perfectly! The weather was beautiful, HOT but beautiful!

WEDDING PREPARATIONS

Our daughter, Whitney and Josh, will be married on June12,2010. The week before the wedding was spent mowing, making flowers and decorating. The wedding will take place at the beautiful Loyd Farm in Bridgeport, AL. It has been alot of hard work, but is it all coming together nicely!!

NEW ADDITION

This winter we found out that our oldest daughter, Brooke and her husband Chris will be adding a new addition to our family!! We are expecting the new baby in September!! We now know that our new grandson, yes it is a boy, will be named Jacob Christopher Yates. His oldest sister Emily, brother James and younger sister Elizabeth are very excited to have a new brother and so are his grandparents!!!

The 14th National Cornbread Festival will be held on April 24th and 25th, 2010 in historic South Pittsburg, TN. Mountainside Craft will be located in the General Store Area. All styles and sizes of our Hiking/Walking Sticks will be available, we will be featuring our sticks made from beautiful "Red Cedar"! We have a large variety of these hand-crafted hiking/walking sticks to choose from. Hope to see you at the "Cornbread Festival"

Mountainside Craft Hiking/Walking Sticks may be purchased at Holloway's Pink Ping in Cherry Log, GA. Bud Holloway and his family have been making the best orginal pit cooked B-B-Q since 1967. Visited by people such as President Jimmy Carter and Governor Zell Miller it is rumored that the Pink Pig has the best iced tea in the world! With a full menu, all food is prepared to order. This is Kim & Brandon ready to go hiking at Lake Guntersville State Park! We both chose at Short Twisted "Cedar" Hiking Stick for our hike. Mountainside Craft Hiking/Walking Sticks are available for purchase here at the Lake Guntersville Camp Store and also at Lake Guntersville Lodge. You can enjoy a short 30 minute hike, guided Saturday morning interpretive hike, or pack a picnic lunch explore all day!
